Two new pieces of art for “Echoes”

Today I’m very excited to release two new pieces publicly. I’ve worked months on these, learning new ways to paint, guiding myself through trial and error to visualize my imagination.

The first new piece is my interpretation of electronic music. For many years music has served as a catalyst for my times of creation, and after visiting Moogfest last year I was struck with this idea on the car ride home. It just so happened to sync perfectly up with the theme “Echoes.”

After a minor hiatus I sat back down to create my second piece. This is more of a meta concept. I almost called it “I love digital art” but that was too corny… It’s all about the ability to create any reality with the technology I am fortunate enough to have. It’s truly an amazing feeling to be able to render anything your imagination comes up with.

depthCORE’s chapter “Time” is released

The Depthcore Collective is proud to release it’s 43rd themed chapter exhibition, “TIME”. As we near our 10th anniversary, this seems to be an appropriate subject for us as a collective to reflect upon. Ten years have passed by, and the students and teenagers who once populated the group are gone, replaced by full time freelance artists, independent small-business owners and focused creative professionals. Finding the time (oh, the puns are endless with this theme) to create these Chapters has become increasingly difficult.

This is my second submission to Depthcore, and after months of trial and error (plus tons of advice from other dC artists) I was able to finalize it. Click here for the full view.

EvokeONE’s first art show

I am extremely proud to have taken place in the planning, set up and display of EvokeONE’s first art show. Artists from around the United States flew in to Baltimore to display over 50 unique pieces of Digital Art. As far as I know, this is only the second time EVER an online digital art group has thrown a physical event. You can see more pictures from the event here.
